A blossoming 2023: Our highlights so far

What have we been up to since the beginning of the year?

The short answer is…a lot.

We cannot believe it is summer already and as we are approaching the halfway point of 2023, it is the perfect opportunity to take a step back and reflect on our successes so far.

Our team has been working hard creating stunning floral arrangements for various individuals, companies, luxury brands and events. We have fostered creative collaborations and provided numerous luxury installations for high-end designers and prestigious brands in some of the world’s most sought-after locations.

Here are some of our best highlights so far:

Vogue France interview with Donatella Versace and Dua Lipa, Cannes - May 2023

Over the years, we have had many proud, ‘pinch-us’ moments designing, delivering and seeing our creations in place, but one particularly remarkable achievement is when we found our beautiful flowers in the spotlight between two absolute icons.

Vogue France interviewed the global pop sensation Dua Lipa and famous fashion designer Donatella Versace while they were getting ready to launch their co-designed women’s collection at Versace’s first see-now-buy-now fashion show in Cannes.

Our blooms were the perfect addition, enhancing the interview set as they spoke about their new capsule collection, La Vacanza, before presenting it in the breathtaking setting of a luxury French chateau. The display’s use of pale pink roses even complemented Versace’s pink suit jacket perfectly.

Our award winning psychedelic Cheshire Cat display for Chelsea in Bloom 2023

Successes don’t get much better than an accolade to accompany it. As a floristry company based in London, Chelsea in Bloom is undoubtedly high in our calendar priorities - it is truly spectacular year after year, and we are proud to share the win of our Silver Award.

The theme was ‘Flowers on Film’ with displays inspired by the movies. We were commissioned by self-portrait and their Creative Director, Han Chong, to create the Cheshire Cat, inspired by Alice in Wonderland. It proudly sat grinning outside their Chelsea store, which opened last year on the corner of Kings Road and Duke of York Square.

The brand is committed to sustainability and low-waste initiatives, so it was apt that we came together on this creative project. We designed the surreal and magical floral creation that brought the storybook character to life, full of hydrangeas, achilleas, black pepper berries, roses, carnations, and so much more. It captivated passers-by and we were tagged in endless social photos and posts. Here’s to next year!

Luxury launches

Christian Louboutin Long Wearing Liquid Lip Launch, UK-wide - February 2023

The red-soled shoe icon has a beauty line, and we are so proud to have been involved in one of their recent launch campaigns.

Specific Louboutin beauty ranges have already been introduced across many European stores this year. To celebrate this, we teamed up with the brand on the launch of their new long wearing Liquid Lip to create bespoke bouquets to complement their press and influencer gifting.

The partnership was perfectly coordinated in the month of love, and we carefully created beautiful bouquets of valentines blooms in deep reds and pale nudes that still look fresh today and will until next Valentine’s Day!

Displays for luxury fashion houses

Maison Margiela, Selfridges - May 2023

Maison Margiela’s Selfridges activation using Ethereal Blooms

Edge Retail approached us to provide the floral installations for the branded space of Maison Margiela within Selfridges. The luxury fashion house is renowned for its avant-garde, conceptual approach to scents and fashion while utilising unconventional materials. We love their ethos and the reasoning why they choose us over fresh flower floristry.

The display combined carefully curated white blooms and greenery showcasing the simplistic beauty and versatility of flowers, highlighting the relationship between fashion, art and nature - our blooms were intertwined within their fragrance and cosmetic stand.

Designs for eternity

De Beers, London and Paris - May 2023

Floral sculptures for the De Beers Old Bond Street store

This year we continued to partner with esteemed jewellery brand De Beers to create stunning displays for their bridal range in five reputable locations, Old Bond St, Selfridges and Harrods in the UK and Printemps and Galeries Lafayette in Paris.

Highlighting quality that lasts, diamonds and our long-life blooms are a perfect combination. Especially with De Beers’ commitment to sustainable practices.

The floral archways, pillars and sculptures together with store and gift bouquets were carefully designed to showcase the beauty and brilliance of their diamond jewellery. The nude and ivory colour palette with pops of peach perfectly matched their 2023 bridal campaign.

Partnering with perfume

High-end designer brand, European-wide - January 2023

A bright jewel coloured arrangement for this Italian jewellery, handbag and fragrance designer brand

Continuing on the theme of luxury retailers, we also teamed up with a high end jewellery, handbag and perfume brand. The Italian luxury house is synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship and magnificent creations, so we were the perfect candidate when they required flowers across nine perfumery stores within Europe.

We provided blooms for stores in the legendary fashion locations of Istanbul, Paris, London, Rome and Neuchatel. Our beautiful arrangements in long gold vases enhanced the aesthetic appeal of their stores, highlighting their refined luxury.

Flowerbomb workshop

Viktor & Rolf, National Wedding Show, London & Birmingham - May 2023

Aside from creating arrangements for weddings, we absolutely loved helping with this year’s National Wedding Show. We teamed up with the brand to host workshops and create displays for their wedding show presence.

The luxury Dutch fashion house Viktor & Rolf presented their ‘Flowerbomb Champagne bar’ and fragrance product displays at the UK’s biggest wedding show, the National Wedding Show at the Excel Centre in London and the NEC in Birmingham. This year, we designed and supplied the brand with almost a thousand mini bouquet kits so attendees could create and keep their own hand ties.

We harmonised perfectly with their new fragrances using pale pink, lilac and fuschia colourways so visitors could create posies to match their favourite Viktor & Rolf perfume.

Travel to breathtaking locations

Chateau de Beauregard, Avignon - May 2023

Aside from creativity in our home city, we also travel far and wide. We are particularly proud of this 17th-century French chateau, in Provence. Charm exudes this breathtaking and timeless location, and we loved every second of this project.

We designed a range of beautiful displays which complemented the decor and colour tones throughout the chateau. All of the designs blended with the beautiful aesthetics, and with our blooms, they will also last for up to a year without needing to be replaced.

From lavish fireplace and mantelpiece features to the individual bouquets and blooms framing historical portraits, our creativity excelled here. The amaranth and expressive vine added a sense of drama keeping in context with the history, while the intricate layers of foliage used in the fireplace of the chateau’s ballroom and library resulted in standout pieces.

High-end hotel collaborations

L’Oscar London Hotel, London - May & June 2023

Our Chelsea in Bloom installation for L’Oscar London

Within the same week, we worked with the prestigious and exclusive L’Oscar London hotel. The five-star luxury hotel, with its opulent ambience in the heart of central London, was the ideal canvas for us to bloom in Bloomsbury!

The hotel was the former headquarters of the Baptist church and has been restored and refurbished with its Baroque glory in mind by the French architect and designer Jacques Garcia. Keeping with the grandeur, rich history and elegance of the hotel, we created a graceful floral archway that framed the entrance, designed with colours of lavenders and pinks that complemented the grade two listed building.

L’Oscar wasn’t a one-off collaboration, they love to keep their blooms in line with current events. Keep your eyes peeled if you are near the hotel this month as we have now installed an iconic green, white and yellow Wimbledon-themed floral archway.

Making waves

Blooms on Board Superyachts - January-June 2023

We have been entrusted now by over 70 superyachts to craft various installations and bouquets. This year we have already designed arrangements for 17 yachts, including the impressive 88m M/Y Project X.

As a high-consuming and large carbon footprint industry, sustainability is a topic that the yachting now has at the forefront of its initiatives, and we are so appreciative to be helping them do so with our alternative solution to fresh-cut flowers.

Fresh flowers are challenging to maintain on a yacht, with its unforgiving environment of too much sun and salt, teamed with ever changing humidity, our blooms will stay fresh for up to a year with almost no maintenance.

Elevating living spaces

High-end residences, multiple locations - January-June 2023

Matching bouquets to stunning artwork is one of our favourite things to do

Our blooms have graced many high-end private residences around the world this year. We love designing and tailoring our arrangements for those seeking to elevate their living spaces with sustainable, natural elegance. We have enhanced homes with unique aesthetics and preferences for each homeowner, our displays now sit alongside 6 Picassos and counting!

Since January, we have provided blooms for high-end residences across the desirable areas of London; Kensington, Belgravia and Knightsbridge. We also visited Provence to install wonderful pieces at the private historic Chateau Beauregard.

These projects differ dependent on the home’s owner, and we thrive off each one with its bespoke demands. This year we provided custom displays for a unique home in Poland.

Our work doesn’t stop in Europe. We also crossed the pond and supplied three residences in the U.S., from sophisticated apartments in New York to a rustic luxury lodge in Montana.

Luxury that lasts

This year has already been one for the books with a remarkable array of our successes, and we are still going. We are so humbled to see our creations and designs have been widely recognised and celebrated by such a wide variety of luxury brands and retailers, high-end locations, huge events, celebrities, and even making it to the high seas in the niche world of superyachts, as well as the ongoing individual arrangements we curate daily.
